From SQL Server 2012 SP2 we have a new option Backup and restore from url is available .where you can take backup to the cloud and restore database from the cloud.to implement we have to configure container in azure storage. which can be done as below

From SQL Server 2012 SP2 we have a new option Backup and restore from url is available .to implement we have to configure container in azure storage. which can be done as below

Login to http://manage.windowsazure.com/ and provide your credentials .

once done you can access the below screen

Click on Data Services->Storage and click on Quick Create
give the

url ,location group and select the type of replication .

once azure storage is created check the status .it must be online

Once it is online now create containers

click in create container give the container name give access

ACCESS

“By default, the container is private and can be accessed only by the account owner. To allow public read access to the blobs in the container, but not the container properties and metadata, use the “Public Blob” option. To allow full public read access for the container and blobs, use the “Public Container” option.”

once when access is granted

ACCESS

now you can access and save and restore
